Kamal Haasan soon after the post-production works of Thoongavanam decides to delete 30 minutes from the actual running length, which is 135 minutes to just 105 minutes.
Nevertheless, after several discussions with the entire team including director Rajesh, the final decision has been pushed to 130 minutes.
It seems that almost all the portions in the film are gripping, but Kamal Haasan treating this film as a fast-paced high volatile action thriller wanted to keep it crisp and intact. Finally, it will be a running length of 2hrs 9mins and of course, the film is based on the famous French movie ‘Sleepless Night’, which is now getting remade in Hollywood as well. This film stars Trisha, Prakash Raj, Sampath, Kishore and Yugi Sethu in important roles as well.
